Thomson Kibet Cherogony is a Kenyan marathon runner born on November 12, 1978. He gained recognition in the running community by finishing fourth in the half marathon at the Nairobi Marathon in 2006. The following year, he made his full marathon debut, winning the Enschede Marathon and placing twelfth at the Amsterdam Marathon. Cherogony also secured a seventh-place finish at the Reims Marathon in 2008, followed by an eleventh-place finish at the Rome Marathon and a victory at the Bilbao Marathon in 2009. In 2010, he set a course record at the Madrid Marathon with a time of 2:11:27.
