His performance included finishes outside the top 70 and later, in the 1979/80 season, he competed in the newly formed Ski Jumping World Cup but struggled to reach the top 100. He participated in the 1982 Nordic Ski World Championships, achieving 55th and 48th places. After an eight-year break, he returned in 1991/92, finishing 103rd in the Continental Cup before retiring.
