Thom Karremans, born Thomas Jacob Peter Karreman on December 29, 1948, was the commander of the Dutch forces in Srebrenica during the Srebrenica massacre in the Bosnian War. His forces were tasked with defending the Bosnian enclave designated as a 'safe area' by the United Nations, but they failed to prevent the Serbian forces from taking control of the city.
