Theres Giger is a Swiss politician from the FDP, born on February 24, 1944, in Bern. She started her career as a journalist before entering the Bern city council in 1981. Giger was elected as the city council president in 1988 and later became a member of the municipal council in 1993, leading the Department of Planning and Building until her dismissal in 1996.
