Theo Aben was a Dutch motocross racer born on April 30, 1921, in Ledeacker. He won the Motocross der Azen for two consecutive years in 1950 and 1951 and secured the Senior RKNMB 500cc championship in 1950. Aben achieved his first race victory in the Junior KNMV category on August 9, 1947, with a 350cc Matchless motorcycle. Tragically, his intense competition with Jan Clijnk ended in his death during a race on August 5, 1951, when he crashed into a tree after losing control on a turn.
