Tex Harding, born John Karl Thye on January 4, 1918 in Illinois, was an American actor known for his roles as a singing partner of Charles Starrett in several series films featuring the western character 'Durango Kid'. He rode a horse named 'Diablo', which appeared in many other westerns as well. Harding's career in acting was relatively brief, after which he returned to his original profession as a butcher. His sister was actress Dorothy Dix.
