Tetsunojō Kanze VIII (1931-2000) was a Japanese Noh performer, born Shizuo Kanze. As the fourth son of Kanze Masayuki, he trained under his grandfather and father. He debuted in 1934 and became famous for his performances including 'Dōjō-ji' in 1953. In 1980, he succeeded the Kanze Tetsunojō name. He received prestigious awards including the Minister of Education's Arts Encouragement Prize in 1992 and was recognized as a Living National Treasure in 1995. His children include Noh performer Akio Kanze and actress Yoko Kanze.
