Tetsui Ooshima (March 2, 1926 – April 12, 1999) was a Japanese painter known for his unique worldview expressed through works featuring anthropomorphized animals and plants. In 1971, he traveled to Europe as a Fellow of the Agency for Cultural Affairs, where he studied under leader of the Vienna School of Fantastic Realism, Ernst Fuchs. Ooshima is also recognized for his cover art for authors like Hideo Nakai and Baku Akai.
