Terry Goodkind (May 1, 1948 - September 17, 2020) was an American author best known for his fantasy series, The Sword of Truth. The series sold 25 million copies worldwide and has been translated into over 20 languages. Goodkind's contemporary thriller novel titled Law of Nines (2009) also gained recognition. Additionally, The Sword of Truth series was adapted into a television series called Legend of the Seeker, which premiered on November 1, 2008, ran for two seasons, and concluded in May 2010.
