Jetsunma Tenzin Palmo (born 1943) is a Tibetan Buddhist nun of the Drukpa lineage of the Kagyu school. She is an author, teacher, and the founder of a convent in Himachal Pradesh, India. Tenzin Palmo is known for being one of the few Western yogis who trained in the East, spending twelve years living in a remote cave in the Himalayas, three of which were in strict meditation retreat. Inspired by her declaration in a Buddhist magazine, author Vicki MacKenzie wrote 'Cave in the Snow' about her journey.
