Teizō Komatsuyama was a Japanese sumo wrestler born on March 11, 1913, in what is now Nomi City, Ishikawa Prefecture. He belonged to the Iizutsu stable and reached a highest rank of West Maegashira 3 in May 1941. Notably, he is recognized for achieving a victory over a yokozuna while ranked at the 14th position, marking a historical milestone in the sport. After retiring, he contributed to the sumo world as a coach and was known for his techniques such as right-handed grip and various throws. He passed away on April 27, 1972.
