He collaborated with a variety of touring groups, recorded with prominent bands such as the California Ramblers and Phil Napoleon, and contributed to popular music on radio and television, including arranging for 'Name That Tune.' Raph also authored two enduring books of American popular music, which continue to be in print over 50 years later.
