Tapiwa Zivira is a Zimbabwean digital journalist associated with Alpha Media Holdings, the largest independent media entity in Zimbabwe. He began his career during a period marked by severe repression of independent journalism under Robert Mugabe. In 2007, he penned a significant piece as an intern regarding the police shooting of Gift Tandare, a political activist. Zivira contributed to a critical report in 2009 exposing the abuses faced by farm workers during the controversial land reform process initiated by Mugabe's regime.
