Tamizō Shibano was a Japanese children's literature author and poet born on November 4, 1909, in Tokyo. He graduated from Hibiya Elementary School and Nishinari Commercial School. Shibano worked at Ōhashi Library for eight years before pursuing writing and editing. He contributed to publications such as 'Akai Tori' and was mentored by Hakuchō Nar utaki. He served as an editor for 'Kodomo no Hikari' and began his literary career in 1942. He passed away on April 11, 1992, due to respiratory failure.
