Tamio Ōgiyama was a former sumo wrestler from Kurihara, Miyagi Prefecture, affiliated with the Tokitsukaze stable. His real name was Tamio Takahashi. He achieved his highest rank in professional sumo as East Maegashira 5 during January 1963 and January 1967 tournaments. Ōgiyama later transitioned to professional wrestling, where he wrestled under the ring name Daigorō Ōgiyama. He was noted for his physical stature, standing 177 cm tall and weighing 103 kg in sumo, and 178 cm and 105 kg in wrestling.
