Tamio Kawakami (かわかみ たみお, July 12, 1925 - September 22, 2012) was a Japanese politician and historian. He served seven terms as a member of the House of Representatives and held positions such as the Director of the International Bureau of the Japan Socialist Party and a professor at Tokai University. Kawakami was also a guest professor at Seigakuin University and was honored as an emeritus professor at Tokai University. His academic focus was on American history.
