Tālis Vīksna (January 5, 1951 - December 9, 2005) was a Latvian chess player and Master of Correspondence Chess, achieving this title in 1997. He was one of the strongest chess players from the rural sports society 'Vārpa' during the 1970s and 1980s, winning multiple medals in regional championships. Vīksna excelled in team competitions and had notable performances in Latvian Chess Championships. He was successful in correspondence chess in the late 1990s and was an active organizer of chess events in Latvia, participating also in political life as a member of the Christian Democratic Union.
