Takeshi Koura is a former Japanese professional tennis player born on November 13, 1942, in Nishinomiya. He competed internationally in the 1960s and 1970s, winning medals at the University Games and playing in the 1967 French Championships. Koura was part of Japan's Davis Cup team and notably helped Japan defeat Australia in 1971. After retiring, he established a tennis college in Osaka, producing notable players such as Kimiko Date. He also served as the captain of the Japanese Fed Cup team.
