Takeshi Hara (born August 29, 1962) is a Japanese political scientist and an emeritus professor at Meiji Gakuin University, as well as a visiting professor at Open University of Japan. His area of expertise lies in the history of Japanese political thought, particularly focusing on modern and contemporary Imperial family and Shinto studies. Hara has contributed significantly to the understanding of Japan's political ideologies and traditions through his research.
