Takashi Yamaguchi (January 13, 1934 - April 5, 1993) was a Japanese geographer and professor at the University of Tokyo. He specialized in urban geography and North American regional studies, contributing to the introduction of research trends from the United States and Canada to the Japanese academic community during the early stages of the quantitative revolution in geography. He also engaged in applied research in Japan, pioneering urban function classification using principal component analysis.
