Takashi Nabata (July 6, 1933 - August 27, 2020) was a Japanese historian and professor emeritus at Otani University. He served as the head priest of Yosen-ji Temple and was recognized as a lecturer within the Honganji sect of Shin Buddhism. His area of specialization was the history of Japanese Buddhism, contributing significantly to the academic understanding of this field.
