Takamiyama Daigorō, born Jesse James Waluni Kuhaulua on June 16, 1944, in Happy Valley, Maui, is a former Japanese-Hawaiian sumo wrestler. He made history as the first foreigner to win a Japanese sumo tournament, achieving this feat in July 1972 at the Nagoya-basho. With a notable weight of 205 kg and height of 1.92 m, he competed for nearly twenty years in the Makuuchi division. Takamiyama reached the rank of Sekiwake and had a record of 1,430 matches in the division. He later became a sumo coach, guiding notable wrestlers including Akebono.
