He has been associated with several organizations throughout his career, including NTN, Sagawa Express, and others. Ōnishi is also recognized for being the older twin brother of athletics competitor Yō Akira Ōnishi. Currently, he serves as the head coach for long-distance events at Meiji International Medical University.
