Taizō Ushiba was a prominent Japanese physician and medical researcher, born on April 1, 1913, in Kobe, Japan. He graduated from Keio University School of Medicine and served as a professor there, specializing in microbiology and immunology. Ushiba held the position of the 8th dean of the medical school and was honored as a professor emeritus after retirement. He also served as a commissioner on the National Public Safety Commission. He passed away on November 13, 2003, due to pneumonia at the age of 90.
