Taisto Heikkinen (July 11, 1937 – May 7, 2011) was a Finnish weather forecaster, also known as the 'Frog Professor'. He claimed he could predict the weather months in advance by observing frogs and nature from a lookout tower in his backyard. He gained public attention in spring 1995 during the program 'Karpolla on asiaa' where he made his weather predictions. His forecasts were sometimes accurate and sometimes not. He notably used the same frog for predictions until it died in the heat during the summer of 2006.
