Tadayoshi Murata was a Japanese psychiatrist born on April 17, 1931, in Hokkaido. He graduated from Hokkaido University in 1956, completing his doctorate in psychiatry in 1962. Throughout his career, he held various positions, including being the head of psychiatry at Seibo Hospital and a professor at Tenshi Junior College. He dedicated his work to the treatment of alcohol dependency and served as the chairman of the Hokkaido Family Life Counseling Center. He was also known by the pen name 'Tanukiyamajin'.
