Tadasu K. Yamada was a Japanese zoologist born on June 18, 1950. He was the head of the Vertebrate Research Group in the Department of Zoology at the National Museum of Nature and Science, Japan. Yamada specialized in marine mammalogy and comparative vertebrate morphology. He was born in Okayama Prefecture and was the son of anatomical researcher Munemasa Yamada, who was an associate professor at Okayama University and an emeritus professor at Kanazawa University.
