Tabaré Gómez Laborde, known artistically as Tabaré, was a Uruguayan cartoonist, humorist, and caricaturist born on August 21, 1948, in La Paz. He was renowned for his work in comics, animated cartoons, and book illustrations. His most notable creation was the comic strip 'Diógenes y el Linyera,' which was continuously published in the Buenos Aires newspaper Clarín since 1977, gaining significant popularity throughout Latin America. Tabaré passed away on July 4, 2023, in Turdera.
