T. K. Divakaran was a prominent Malayali politician and trade unionist, born on December 8, 1920, in Kollam. He became an influential trade union leader, active member of the State Congress, and participated in the Freedom Movement. He served as Kerala's Minister of Public Works under E. M. S. Namboodiripad from 1967 to 1969, and again under C. Achutha Menon until his death in 1976. He was notable for his oratory skills and was involved with the Revolutionary Socialist Party and the Kerala Socialist Party during his political career.
