Tikiri Banda Tennekoon (1912-1980) was a notable Sinhalese politician who served in the Parliament for the Dambulla electorate for five terms from 1956 to 1977. Born in Pathadumbara, he pursued education at local schools before working in the Railway Department and later in printing. He held various government positions, including Parliamentary Secretary in several ministries. A significant figure in local development, he initiated an Economic Centre in Dambulla. Tennekoon struggled in his last election campaign in 1977, marking the end of his political career.
