Szymon Harnam, born Charnam Szaja (November 22, 1908 – October 25, 1929), was a prominent activist in the Communist Youth Alliance of Poland. He distributed communist literature, painted slogans, and engaged in various technical and propaganda activities. Harnam was shot by a police officer while speaking at a workers' meeting at the Biedermann textile factory, which was later named in his honor. He was buried in Łódź, and his legacy is remembered through poetry and street names dedicated to him.
