Swami Prasad Maurya is an Indian politician born on 2 January 1954. He has served five terms as a Member of the Legislative Assembly in Uttar Pradesh, representing Padrauna. Maurya held various key positions, including Cabinet Minister for Labour, Employment and Co-ordination in the Yogi Adityanath ministry. He was a member of the Samajwadi Party until 2024, and previously was with the Bahujan Samaj Party before joining the Bharatiya Janata Party until 2021. He has also been Leader of the House and Leader of the Opposition.
