Svend Andersen (born March 8, 1948, in Aventoft, South Schleswig) is a Danish-South Schleswig theologian. Since 1989, he has been a professor of ethics and philosophy of religion at Aarhus University. Andersen has published numerous books and translations, and he is an active debater in the field of ethics. He served on the Ethical Council from 1988 to 1993, with the last three years as vice-chairman. In 2007, he was noted for new translations of Luther's texts and is involved with the Løgstrup archive.
