Sue Stap Kust, born on June 3, 1954, is a former American professional tennis player from Deerfield, Illinois. In the 1970s, she achieved a highest world ranking of 34 and notably reached the singles third round at the 1972 Wimbledon Championships. Stap was a two-time US Open quarter-finalist in mixed doubles, winning the 1971 Charlotte Tennis Classic doubles with Chris Evert. Her career highlights include a victory over Martina Navratilova and participation in the 1975 Virginia Slims Championships. Coached by her father Jake, she was part of a tennis family.
