Suchīp Punyānuphāp (April 13, 1917 – May 4, 2000) was a highly esteemed scholar in Buddhism revered by both practitioners and the Thai Sangha. Known for his exceptional knowledge of Buddhist doctrine combined with modern academic insights, he was the first Thai monk to give Dharma talks in English, fostering connections between Buddhists in Thailand and abroad. He authored numerous books and texts on Buddhism as well as novels with Buddhist themes and was a pioneer in compiling Buddhist terminology dictionaries.
