Sture Vilgot Åkerberg was a Swedish jazz and revue musician, born on February 10, 1935, in Alingsås and died on July 29, 1997. As a double bassist, he was integral to AB Svenska Ords revues and the trio of Sven Olson in the 1970s. He contributed to Cornelis Vreeswijk's albums and was mentioned in Vreeswijk's song 'Dekadans'. Åkerberg was married to renowned singer Monica Zetterlund from 1974 to 1983 and to Anita Dubois from 1994 until his death. He is buried at Galärvarvskyrkogården in Stockholm.
