Steven Lysak was an American canoeist born on August 7, 1912, in Newark and passed away on July 30, 2002, in Yonkers. He competed in the 1930s and 1940s, and was notable for his participation in the 1948 Summer Olympics in London, where he won an Olympic gold medal in the C-2 10,000 meters and a silver medal in the C-2 1,000 meters alongside partner Stephen Macknowski. He was also the brother of fellow canoeist John Lysak.
