Stepan Pavlovich Shirobokov was a Udmurt Soviet poet, writer, and playwright born on December 5, 1912, in the village of Maly Kazes, Vyatka Governorate. He was recognized as the People's Poet of Udmurtia in 1963 and became a member of the Union of Soviet Writers. His contributions to literature are significant in the Udmurt cultural landscape, and he continued to be an influential figure in the arts until his passing in 1983 in Izhevsk, Udmurt ASSR.
