Stefano D’Arrigo was an Italian poet, novelist, and journalist born on October 15, 1919, in Alì Marina, Italy. His literary work is limited in quantity, comprising one poetry collection and two novels, yet he is celebrated for his monumental novel 'Horcynus Orca'. This work, which took decades to complete, was regarded as a masterpiece of Italian literature upon its first publication in 1975. Its first translation into another language occurred 40 years later, and the German version by Moshe Kahn in 2015 was recognized as the discovery of an internationally unknown piece of world literature.
