Štefan Svitek (January 23, 1960 – June 8, 1989) was a Slovak murderer and recidivist known as the 'Horehron Butcher'. In 1987, he brutally murdered his pregnant wife and two daughters. Due to the heinous nature of his crime, he was sentenced to death and became the last person executed in Czechoslovakia.
