Stanisław Łobaziewicz (1948-2003) was a Polish chess activist, educator, and sportsman. After graduating from Silesian University of Technology in 1975, he worked as a teacher and later in mining. An active athlete, he played football before dedicating himself to sports promotion. He became known in the chess community as the head of the chess section in Krzeszowice and later as the president of the Małopolski Chess Association. In 2000, he was elected president of the Polish Chess Federation, a position he held until his death in 2003.
