Stanislav Brebera (August 10, 1925 – May 11, 2012) was a Czech chemist known for his work in the chemical industry. He was born in Přelouč and died in Pardubice. Brebera spent his career at the Czechoslovak State Research Institute for Chemical Industry, which is now known as Explosia Pardubice. He is most famous for developing the plastic explosive Semtex in the late 1950s, which was released on the market in 1964.
