Stane Meterc was a Slovenian painter born on August 18, 1927, in Ribno and passed away in March 1993 in Ronke. He studied primary school in Zabreznica and attended lower gymnasium in Jesenice. From 1942 to 1944, he apprenticed with the painter Jemec in Bled. He first exhibited in a group exhibition in 1946 and later held solo exhibitions in various cities including New York and Rome. His works include oil paintings, often featuring Karst landscapes, with distinct colors such as the blue sky and red leaves.
