He played as an outside forward for clubs like Cardiff City, Gillingham, and also had a significant stint at Dundalk in Ireland. Griffiths made a total of six appearances in the Football League, scoring during his time at Cardiff City. After his playing career, he worked in Chatham Dockyard and briefly served as a trainer and scout for football clubs. He passed away on January 12, 2003, believed to be the oldest living former Gillingham player at that time.
