Shota Meskhia (April 27, 1916 – May 15, 1972) was a Georgian historian and Doctor of Historical Sciences (1955). He became a professor in 1957 and was a corresponding member of the Georgian Academy of Sciences starting in 1967. Notably, he served as the editor for the second volume of 'Essays on the History of Georgia.' Meskhia significantly contributed to the field of history through his publications and academic endeavors.
