Snu Abecassis, born Ebba Merethe Seidenfaden, was a Danish publisher and prominent figure in Portuguese literature. She established the publishing house Dom Quixote during a period of political repression in Portugal, where she championed controversial works against the dictatorship. Abecassis was known for her association with numerous Portuguese authors and her efforts to publish texts addressing critical social issues. She had notable relationships, including one with the Prime Minister of Portugal, Francisco de Sá Carneiro. Tragically, she died in a plane crash alongside Sá Carneiro in 1980.
