She made her literary debut in 1978 with 'Den første avisa på Lofotveggen', which earned her the Tarjei Vesaas' debutantpris. Bjugn was recognized for her contributions to children's literature, particularly with her 1992 book 'Jente i bitar', which won the Brage Prize. She passed away on July 14, 2011.
