Shun Kusakawa was a Japanese author born on August 13, 1914, in Ishinomaki, Miyagi Prefecture. He graduated from Utsunomiya Higher Agricultural School, which is now part of Utsunomiya University, Faculty of Agriculture. His real name was Yoshizaburo Takahashi. Kusakawa was nominated for the Naoki Prize for his works, including 'Yellow Canal' (1958), 'Great Wall Line' (1958), and 'Red Canal' (1964). He passed away on March 6, 2000.
