Shona Laing is a New Zealand singer born on October 9, 1955. She contributed vocals to the album 'Somewhere in Afrika' by Manfred Mann’s Earth Band in 1981 and 1982. As a solo artist, she achieved a Top-10 hit in Australia and New Zealand with 'Glad I’m not a Kennedy' in 1987. Although she faded from the charts quickly, Laing remains musically active in New Zealand. In 2013, she received the Legacy Award and was inducted into the New Zealand Music Hall of Fame.
