Shōhei Takamura (August 2, 1905 - May 11, 1989) was a Japanese economic anthropologist and historian known for his studies on medieval German cities and the Hanseatic League. He served as the president of Keio University and held various prestigious positions such as the chairman of the Central Council for Education. A member of the Japan Academy, he was honored with the Order of the Sacred Treasure, 1st class, and was promoted to the rank of Junior Third Rank posthumously.
